Fire Life Safety Directors

QPS offers a robust Fire Life Safety Program in New York City. QPS utilizes Program Managers to train, test and support our FLSDs to best ensure compliance with Fire Life Safety, Emergency Action Plans and local ordinances.

Additionally, the majority of our security workforce has received the city-wide Fire Guard Certificate of Fitness (F01) to permit rapid response in the event of a Fire Alarm System impairment or other conditions impacting the alarm’s status.

QPS further provides specialized scenario-based training in fire panel operations and emergency announcements at our state-of-the-art training center with a fully functional mock fire command center.

All QPS Fire Life Safety Directors hold the required F89/T89/Z89 Certificate of Fitness as applicable by the FDNY. Additionally, FDNY on-site testing and mock examination support are provided by QPS.
